Wedding Services FAQ

A.

What is required to book my wedding date?
 - We require a retainer along with a signed contract. Once this is sent to us and received, we will then discuss the details!
Can I book my wedding party for services?
Yes! We have a bunch of specialty packages for the bridal party, groom, grooms men, mother in laws and of course the bride the day of and starting months before.
What makes you stand out from other makeup artists and hair stylists?
Our team are highly skilled with airbrush makeup, bridal makeovers and bridal and formal hair designs. We recommend you browse our Pinterest page to find a style that you may like and bring it in with you the day of your makeup/hair consultation.
Will I still look like myself when I get my makeup done?
Yes, absolutely! We are known for a clean, flawless application that enhances your beauty rather than changes it. We understand that most brides want to look like themselves on their wedding day.
My wedding party is large, are you able to service all of us?
Yes! We have 5 makeup and hair artists that can accommodate any group size.
Do you provide hair and makeup offsite?
Yes we do and our bridal consultant can discuss the fee with you.
Do you suggest I do a trial? If so, what should I bring and when should I do it?
Yes, we highly recommend trials. During the trial, your artist is able to get to know you and get a feel for the theme of your wedding. Doing a trial also allows the actual wedding day to run very smoothly.
We recommend that you bring any photos of inspiration along with any hair, jewelry or veils you are wearing. We suggest you do the trial 8-10 weeks before the wedding.
Do you provide airbrush makeup?
Yes and we recommend it. Airbrush goes on with a flawless look, it won’t sweat off and we can airbrush your shoulders, arms, legs to match :)

Q?

Essentials gift cards

A.

Lost or stolen cards are not replaceable. Gift cards may not be redeemed for cash. Essentials gift cards purchased after the gift certificate law changed in July 2009, do not expire. Essentials gift cards are honored for dollar value only.

Q?

I love the robe and slippers…

A.

These items are simply 'on loan' to you during your visit to Essentials. We do offer Essentials Robes and Spa Sandals (brand spanking new) in our Spa store in the main lobby. Please deposit your used robe and slippers in the designated laundry box in the locker room when you are finished with them.

Q?

Can I put on make-up after a facial?

A.

Make-up shouldn't cause any post-facial clogging, unless you've had an oxygen treatment (where it's the air that your skin is soaking in!). Post 02, you should try to keep your skin clean at least for a couple of hours. Otherwise, make-up as you wish.

Q?

What happens if I show up late for my appointment?

A.

Hectic schedules, traffic jams, unruly children, you name it- it happens and poof, you're late. If you show up late for your appointment, your service technician will gladly accommodate your entire service, if he or she does not have another scheduled client promptly following your appointment. If they do, they must perform a shorter version of your scheduled service - so as to not make the next scheduled and on-time client, wait. We appreciate your understanding.

Q?

Should I wear underwear during the massage?

A.

Whatever makes you comfortable. You will always be draped with sheets or towels all the time, but what is most important is your comfort.

Q?

What if for some reason, I don’t want to leave some of my stuff in my locker?

A.

Our management staff would be happy to keep valuables under guard while you have your treatments. Remember, because relaxation is key, it's not your best strategy to bring your pink 5-carat Harry Winston along to toss in your locker.
